Started in 1947, Arthur Wrights is a traditional Sheffield Knife manufacturer. All their knives are still individually hand crafted by apprentice trained Sheffield Cutlers using methods passed down from generation to generation.

Every process, from blanking out the blades and springs, hardening and tempering, assembly, grinding and glazing - right up to the final polishing are all done in-house.This gives them a guaranteed quality control through every step of the process of knife making.

All their knives are made from high grade Carbon Steel and the handles materials are all natural materials that have been hand picked for the highest quality.

The 861 Skinning Knife is a sturdy outdoor hunting knife hand made in Sheffield from 01 Carbon Tool Steel. Hardened to Rockwell 56/58, the edge is ground through rather than whetted to achieve a superbly sharp edge. It is impecably finished with Stag scales attached with loveless bolts.

The overall length is 22cms (8.5ins), and comes with a high quality leather sheath.

The blade is 3.5mms thick providing excellent strength, weight and balance.

The knife weighs approx. 160gms (5.5 ounces).
