In many Countries about one in four people are infected with Lyme bacteria and it is becoming more of an issue here in the UK. This disease can lead to serious symptoms in the muscles, the joints, the nervous system and the heart if left untreated. About 10% of tick bites lead to infection with Lyme’s disease. It is extremely important that the tick be carefully removed within 24 hours. The risk of infection is then minimal. When removing the tick, the insect must irritated and damaged as little as possible.

A tick can be easily and safely removed with Care Plus® Tick-Out pincers. the special grip ensures that the tick is properly gripped with minimum risk of damaging the tick. In the gripping surface there is also a notch for removing nymphs, an early stage in the life of a tick.
