The Smith & Wesson Tactical Firesteel pen is just the sort of product we really like. It is obviously, predominantly a great quality, high strength tactical pen that can be used just as much for writing as it can for self defence but it also has a firesteel intergrated into it so you can always light a fire in a survival situation.

S&W Tactical Pen with Fire Striker comes with Orange or Black aluminum housing and is 6 1/4" overall.

To use the firestarter simply unscrew it to reveal the ferro rod firesteel and attach it to the pen base to act as a handle and use the lid as a striker. You can also unscrew the firestarter and attach the cap to make a shorter ink pen which can be carried on a keyring.

Remember a pen is just as an important survival tool to map areas, leave notes, take first aid notes etc., this one simply has the additional uses which is the first rule of survival, everything must have more than use.
