This lantern is a great alternative to a traditional type lantern or torch. You can either charge it with solar energy or hand crank it with your own energy!
There are 2 settings depending on how much light you want or how long you want a charge to last simply select between 3 or 6 LED's. It contains a NI-MH rechargeable battery that will fully charge in 16 hours of sunlight or, and we think is the most useful feature, you can crank the charging handle for 1 minute and this gives you around 20 munites of light.
It is also a great size as it is 7 1/4" tall (180mm) and only 3 1/4" thick (80mm), many units like this are much bigger and bulkier which doesn't make them very practicle in the field.
