The TBS range of knives are made from top quality European materials and are built to last. We have selected some the best steels for the job, the highest quality handle materials and some great leather work to bring these impeccably made knives to the market.
The Boar Folding Pocket Knife - There was such a natural progression for us by making a folding knife and we think we have done an excellent job with the Boar. It has some great qualities and is a perfect carry for anyone that wants a high quality, every day carry, pocket knife
When it came to the non-locking pocket knife version of the Boar we decided to offer it in N695 Stainless Steel as, quite simply, it requires less maintenance. This is important for a knife that will be in your pocket the vast majority of the time picking up all sorts "pocket fluff" and salt from perspiration. We also, quite deliberately, did not put a thumb stud (or similar) on the EDC as this makes it a much more user friendly product in many more Countries of the World where, to carry a knife all the time, it needs to be a product that needs to be opened two handed. Obviously this makes it a much more useful knife for travel but in all cases you should check local laws and by-laws prior to visiting or purchasing in your chosen country.
There is now a wider choice in the handle material between a Super Grade Curly Birch, Turkish Walnut, Natural Micarta, Olive Wood or Orange Micarta. All the materials have their obvious qualities and are all easy to maintain and look great.
The blade has a full "Scandi" grind to it that is wickedly sharp straight out of the box. There are big benefits to having a proper Scandi grind to a knife and these are mainly to do with edge maintenance. A Scandi grind essentially means that the whole bevel of the knife is the edge (there is no secondary bevel) so when it comes to sharpening life is made very simple. When sharpening you can simply place the entire knife on the stone, roll it up onto the bevel and you will always achieve the correct angle for sharpening; MUCH easier than a knife with a secondary bevel!
It is handled in a choice of Micarta which is a great material for the task as it not only looks great it is VERY easy to maintain as they pretty impervious to most things, Curly Birch, Olive Wood or Turkish Walnut which is also a great looking material and very easy to maintain. The handles are also wonderfully ergonomic and fit the hand perfectly for hours of hard work.
This is a perfect "EDC" pocket knife as it has a 70mm non locking blade but has all the features of its bigger brothers. Lanyard not included.
High Grade Bohler N695 Stainless steel which has a high hardness and great wear resistance and is one of Bohlers premium stainless steels. We have decided to maked the EDC knife in this steel as, after quite some testing, we have found that it performs extremely well. It has a higher Carbon content that many other stainless steels which means it holds an edge longer and can be tempered to the same degree as Carbon Steels. This particular steel actually has a higher content than many High Carbon Tool Steels. This makes it perform with pretty much
Our knife range is manufactured from high quality European materials by a top, well known, European manufacturer in small batches; they are NOT churned out in their thousands in a factory in the Far East. This allows us to have ultimate control over quality and materials and we are extremely happy with the results. All models of knife will be logoed with the Boars Head.

Alex-The Midland Game Fair-
This knife is incredible value for money and whoever designed it should be given a medal. I bought the Curly Birch version at the CLA Game Fair as soon as it came out and was highly impressed. I had already made up my mind that I was having the Black Micarta version when I went to the Midland Game Fair and I'm no less impressed with it. The fit and finish are what I would expect to see on a knife 4 times this price, it was already very sharp when I bought it but with a few minutes and a strop it is now insanely sharp. It's built like a tank, totally bomb-proof and I've given it a serious work out, gutting, skinning, jointing and loads of campside chores (short of batoning, I never baton with a folder). This thing just keeps going then rinses clean in seconds. Buy one before The Bushcraft Store realise they're seriously underpriced! Many thanks for another brilliant product.
just received the micarta handled version and all I can say is WOW I have never used a folding knife for bushcraft but this one certainly seems capable of it feels solid and locks open well like a lockknife fantastic
The order was delivered within 24 hours. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone from The Bushcraft Store and he was very helpful and friendly. The knife I purchased was the TBS Boar EDC with polished micarta scales. I have been looking for a folding EDC with a Scandi grind for a long time. This is an excellent product, well made and was razor sharp straight from the box. It fits my hand perfectly, the mechanism holds the blade firmly when open, with no play on the blade which is more than strong enough for the application it was intended. A great product, great value and excellent service.
What a fantastic knife! I have been looking for a decent EDC knife and I thought I would try the Boar folding knife. As soon as I opened my delivery I was struck at the shear quality of the knife. Utterly beautiful and incredibly sharp. The handle is lovely to hold and the folding mechanism is very strong, almost like a locking knife. This is a knife that looks like it would last a life time. In fact it is so good, I have just gone and bought a Grizzly to help with my fieldcrafting.
