Buffalo Belay Jacket
The Buffalo Belay Jacket takes all its inspiration and technology from the Special 6 shirt except instead of an over the head smock they have made it into a jacket. It features 2 Pile lined pockets instead of the "straight through" features of the Mountain Shirt and the Special 6 Shirt.
I had a Special 6 Shirt many years ago but eventually it got damaged beyond repair (my fault, not the product!) and had to be binned. I remember wearing it for 99% of the time doing Mountain Leader Training in some really poor conditions and it became a must have piece of kit for me when ever taking a group out or facing bad weather.
To give an example I remember doing a days worth of river crossing training simply to teach us - never to cross rivers! It was lashing it down with rain and we were in and out of the river for quite some time. I wore it all day long with only a t-shirt and, although I was wet, I was still perfectly warm - That is what Buffalo clothing is so good for!
