Bushcraft Courses
We offer Bushcraft Instruction through both residential weekend courses and day workshops, covering a range of subjects. Our day workshops include, Bushcraft Essentials, Green Woodworking, Axe Skills, Natural Navigation and Wild Foods and foraging. Weekend courses include the Bushcraft and Survival Weekend, Advanced Bushcraft Weekend and Family Bushcraft Weekend.
Courses are conducted in an award winning (2019 Excellence in Forestry Awards) 45 acre private woodland. The site is an ancient woodland meaning it has been continually forested for over 400 years, so has the full range of floral and fauna diversity with abundant wildlife, rare native trees and plants and a wide range of fungi, making it perfect for your introduction to this wealth of knowledge. It is located about 15 minutes from our Store (approx. 30 minutes outside London) and is easily accessible by both Road and Rail.
As well as our listed courses, we work with Schools, corporate and other private groups so if there is something specific you would like we can always tailor something for you, whether it be one-2-one, a small corporate event or a family group.
All of our courses are run by our highly qualified and experienced lead instructor Graham, who has been a full time Bushcraft Leader since 2012, working with both adults and children all through the seasons. He holds various independent qualifications and skills including - NCFE Level 4 Bushcraft Leader, NCFE Level 4 Practical Ethnobotany, Cybertracker Track and Sign Level 2, Cybertracker Wildlife Trailing Level 2, GB Archery Qualified Archery Instructor, Institute of Outdoor Learning Member, and writes articles for magazines. He is also a keen Bowyer, and craftsman with an interest in our ancient history and technology.
