Bushcraft Essentials Day Workshop
The first and most obvious skill is fire. It is the most fundamental Bushcraft skill you can learn and is an essential part of self-reliance. Once you have fire you have warmth, light, the ability to sterilise water and cook food. A fire also gives you one of the most important things in a difficult situation - morale. Never underestimate the boost a fire can give you rather than shivering in the dark.
You will cover some essential safe and effective techniques when using a Bushcraft knife and saw.
You will also learn shelter building techniques using both natural materials and man made shelters. You will learn several techniques to quickly and efficiently build a natural shelter to protect you from the elements, as well as learning how to properly set up a tarp in different configurations to suit varying weather conditions and terrain.
Day Workshops run from 9.30am to 4.30pm
All knives, tools and equipment used during the workshop are supplied, but of course you are welcome to bring your own. If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to
All of our courses are run by our highly qualified and experienced lead instructor Graham who, like all good teachers, remains a student for life.
