Bushcraft Playing Cards Twin Pack
With such a great product why not have both decks - Bushcraft Playing Cards and the Flora and Fungi sets together!
This is simply a great idea and a great product. If, like me, you like a game of cards then learning while you play is just a great idea. They make a great set of reference cards for your time spent in the great outdoors and, being a set of playing cards, it makes them dual use - the essence of Bushcraft & Survival.
These playing cards have been made by an outdoor enthusiast for other outdoor enthusiast. With the intention to be really something useful. Little cheat sheets for in camp or a hike the forest.
These playing cards are also little field guides which fit in the palm of your hand. There are two versions available - Bushcraft Playing Cards and Plants & Fungi Playing Cards so they are a perfect accompaniment to each other.
The Bushcraft Version covers Techniques, Expedition, Food and First Aid so represent a comprehensive range of subjects. The Flora & Fungi contain information about 48 edible plants and fungi of Europe and are broken down into Mushrooms, Flowers, Vegetables and Berries. The Bushcraft Playing Cards contain information on a further 15 different species.
Each deck has an index on the aces. Both decks have the same back of the cards, so they can be combined when you play a game for which you need two decks. The front of the cards of each set has a different border, so you can easily tell them apart on that side.
The playing cards are standard bridge sized as is common in Europe (56 x 87 mm). A deck weighs about 85 grams including the tuckbox.
Because of the pandemic I don't think I have to explain anymore how important it is to always have something for entertainment. Even if it's just for getting through that rainy day... With just one deck of cards hundreds of games can be played.
Great to tuck into a rucksack corner.
Great to tuck into a rucksack corner. Very useful tips and reminders while relaxing in a tent.
Very good modern bushcraft survival skills playing cards sets.
I finally decided to take the plunge and get a couple of these. There's the survival skills basic deck and the more bushcraft aimed one. Both look to be very good. Worthy of a place in a pack on your travels anywhere.
