Bushmen Walker 1 Sleeping Bag

The Walker Sleeping Bag is an idea that comes from the older German Issue Sleeping bag. Essentially its a sleeping bag that you can also wear as it has zips for your arms and you can unzip the foot area and secure it so you can walk around.

This Walker is the perfect solution when you travel in the summer and it is also a great insulation for other sleeping bags or Bivy Bags. It has the normal characteristics of a sleeping bag with side slots closed with zippers but you can take put your hands outside and, for example, read or drink without cooling your chest.

During hot nights, these slots also function as additional ventilation. The hood can be folded flat to create a comfortable space around the head. When it’s cold, just pull the drawstrings on the sides and the hood will cover your head.

The sleeping bag has a trapezoid shape. It is 90 cm wide at the top. This ensures a comfortable sleep even for a very broad-shouldered person. Pulling down the upper edge creates a thermal collar protecting against freezing during cold nights, and loosening it increases the level of ventilation. The sleeping bag gradually narrows towards the feet to a width of 45 cm. Such anatomical shape ensures comfort and optimal warming of the legs.

The comfort of the sleeping bag is supplemented by 4 pockets:

• 2 inner chest pockets with zippers.
• 2 outside pockets are useful especially when the sleeping bag turns into a vest.

The whole thing fits perfectly with the Hideout systems for additional insulation for a Bivy cover.

You can change the sleeping bag to a comfortable waistcoat with adjustable length. This is a unique feature of the Walker sleeping bag. When you will take out your hands through the side slots, simply undo the lower part of the main zipper in the sleeping bag to knee height (or higher), then stand up and pull the cords located just next to the armholes. Tensioners running inside the sleeping bag will lift its lower part and the stoppers will keep the sleeping bag at the expected level. That ensures freedom of movement. At any time, you can release the stoppers and roll over the previous functionality of the sleeping bag.

It is a very convenient solution when you are sitting in the evening, by the fire or in the morning you go for a morning walk. When you unfasten the hood and attach it to the zipper located in the middle of the sleeping bag, you get a poncho. The whole Walker you can put into a comfortable compression bag. After putting the sleeping bag in the bag, its volume can be reduced by half. After compressing, the whole thing has dimensions of ø14cmx20

The Walker 1 is a light and compact synthetic sleeping bag with thermal comfort: +13C.It weighs 0.78 / 0.88 kg depending on the length, and when compressed its volume is only 3L
