This Ceramic Rod is a great way to get a fine hone on your knives. It is for the rod only, without a handle, and you can use it as is or put a simple paracord rap handle or get more adventurous and add a wooden or Micarta handle to it.
It is perfect for a secondary beveled knife and the only grind I wouldn't recomend it on is a Scandi simply becase it is easier to use a flat stone on a Scandi Grind.
Available in 2 different lengths 8.5" (212.5mm) or 4.5" (112.mm) and they are both 3/8" (9.5mm) thick so has the bonus taht it will also fit in most firesteel holders.
