Condor Fidelis Neck Knife - High Carbon Steel
The Fidelis is no exception, it has a 2 3/16" (55mm) blade and is 5" (127mm) overall. It is a solid one piece construction made from 2mm thick high carbon steel that has a cord wrapped handle and makes a great neck knife for easy carry and deploy.
Just the sort of product that is ideal for a survival kit, go bag , tough little skinner or back up Bushcraft Knife.
It comes with an excellent Kydex sheath with neck chain.
A reall winner that is a bargain.
A handy blade, which in all honesty gets very little use but goes on all my outdoor trips. I have added a whistle with built in ferro rod and striker to the neck chain and it goes round my neck at the same time as I put my boots on. A mini emergency kit.
The knife is sharp and strong enough to perform all basic cutting functions in the woods ie, stripping bark, feathering and sharpening small stakes etc. It would probably be fine for skinning as well, though I haven’t used it for that yet. The handle is slightly small for prolonged use but that’s not what it’s intended for.
Being worn around the neck also makes it easily accessible with either hand, unlike a belt or pocket worn knife that tends to be on the strong hand side, and it’s much easier to deploy than a folder. All in all a good spare knife that’s easy to carry and comes at a very reasonable price
