Crispi Summit GTX Boots
Quite simply, my new favourite boots....
Don't get me wrong, in the depths of Winter I will still go to my Hanwag Trapper Boots but for the rest of the year the Summit GTX boots are definitely my new favourites.
Why? Well I did an "Ultra Challenge" Event in 2021 where I covered 100km (60 miles), in 36 hours, with a total ascent of 10,000 feet and I wore these boots. I also did many training sessions of 25 - 50km and they performed faultlessly in all weathers and over all terrains.
They definitely get my endorsement and I am buying another pair immediately now our stock is available: not because the first pair have worn out, far from it, but anything I rate that highly I run two products alongside each other (if I can afford it of course!!)
They are an ideal boot for all sorts of activities on diverse terrains, from hilly or mountain environments to plains. They have a supremely comfortable shape and maximum climate comfort. The feature a full wrap around rubber rand for excellent protection and are made from suede and synthetic materials. They also feature a Gore-Tex liner for great water protection and climate control.
Comfort
The look of this item is good. The fit is very close and comfortable. Obviousl will give a little in use as it moulds to your own feet over use. But on first try they are very stable and feel very good at supporting the ankle, with a lot of flexibility when you walk. Very pleased with this boot and want to go out there and walk more because of the feel and support they give me. Would recomend these, definately. Just remember to buy slightly larger than your normal size. But check fit before you buy, as if you use a thick sock they may need another half size up. Definateley in my best buy catagory.
Comfy,light and very water proof.
Just been out for a hike in extremely wet and muddy weather, feet were warm and dry and boots were extremely good though the mud.
