Flexcut make some great carving knives and they are ideal for use when they are in tip top condition and razor sharp. This is where a good quality strop comes in. This knife strop is a double sided leather paddle strop and is designed exclusively for stropping and keeping knife blades razor sharp.
Simply strop knife blade away from the cutting edge on both sides to maintain factory edge. It is 14 3/4" overall and of wood construction with leather lanyard. It has a 10" x 3" rough leather stropping surface on one side and on the reverse side has 10" x 3" smooth leather surface for a high-sheen, razor-sharp finish. It also comes with Flexcuts Gold polishing compound to remove hardened steels.
You would be amazed at the difference that stropping your knife makes after careful sharpening, you will wonder why you didn't buy one before!
