The “Wood Flame” is revolutionary in three ways:
- The air / fuel mixture can be tuned by rotating the intake adjustment collar to adjust the flame pattern to best suit your needs and environmental conditions. Mostly closed creates a slow nearly silent orange flame similar to what you get with a traditional campfire. Perfect for creating a true to camping ambience. Mostly open, it creates a fast blue flame perfect for boiling or cooking.
- The Ti Ember Glow Diffuser which disperses heat to a wider area for more even pan cooking or can be used to create radiant heat for grilling.
- The high melting point of Titanium allows the Emberglow Diffuser Plate to glow red hot just like an ember, great for cooking marshmallows or grilling your favorite meats.
The Firebox Wood Flame Gas Burner works in all weather conditions above -22 C (-7 F). Fits all propane/butane gas cartridges with EN417 compatible threaded valves. These cartridges are available in most countries around the world. Boils 1 liter of water in 3-5 minutes (varies according to weather and quality of fuel).

I have a couple of Firebox stoves, and this fits as snugly as a Trangia glass burner, handy for places where you can't have a fire but need the heat for cooking.
The big reason to buy this is the diffuser plate, which stops hot-spotting around the centre of pans, the heat is pushed out in a wider circle and from my limited (so far) testing, this works great.
