Gear Aid Reflective Tenacious Tape Patches are a perfect addition to your gear and I highly recommend them.
Being seen at night and in dark conditions could save your life and this is just a no brainer. I have reflective patches on rucksacks and, because I usually wear one, on the back of hats. Bear in mind that most of the gear we tend to wear are dark and muted colours so having a few reflective patches can be a real bonus.
