The Tatra Top Wide GTX Boots are a real premium quality product that will keep your feet warm and dry in the absolute worst conditions. They are a very supportive and sturdy boot and being Gore-Tex Lined they have the added security that you will never get wet. They are made from a superior high grade Nubuck Leather that insures increased comfort as it has an "Air Pump" system to allow enhanced air circulation due to a pumping action in the tongue and cushioning while walking.
They also have Hanwags Patented bearing system in the lacing (small ball bearings in the lace eyelets) that allow you to get the ideal tension through the laces and enhances the special clamps on the side effectively holding the foot in place and ensuring ideal ankle support. This really helps to prevent twisted ankles and minimizes blisters (via a better heel fit).
They are fitted with an advanced Vibram AW Integral sole unit which not only gives great grip and with additional shock absorption under the heel it gives footwear with stiffer soles huge benefits from this outstanding cushioning.

Absolutely bombproof, solid workhorse boots
Yeah yeah, I know that it's all lightweight materials and trail runners these days, but I want something that'll see me through an apocalypse (that used to be a joke), and these boots absolutely match that requirement.
These Hanwags replace a pair of Hanwag Alverstones I bought in 2016. Those served me incredibly well; however, of late they started letting in a little moisture on good days, and rather a lot on bad days. I live in Scotland. I go out walking every day, regardless of the weather. Having walked 4,500 km this past year in a successful weight-loss/health push (-11st), I decided to treat myself.
The support and reassurance of these boots is superb. I cannot imagine it getting any better, honestly. I did my first Munro, Ben Lomond, over the past weekend, and they saw me easily to the top — via Ptarmigan Ridge, which is a little scrambly. Even on the way down the tourist path, I was stepping down onto sharp stone with complete ease. There was no blistering, and my feet barely felt as if they'd done anything at all afterwards. I have complete faith in these for traversing damp heather/moorland, river crossings, bogs, crags, scrambling, and everything in between. They really are a one-stop shop type of product.
I can see these lasting me at least as long as my Alverstones, and thoroughly recommend supporting this excellent shop — small, specialist, and the best price I could find on these. That's a real rarity these days. 10/10.
