The Helikon Carryall Backup Bag is an ideal Musette Bag for exactly that. You can keep it empty and it nicely compact for storage for emergency use in a vehicle or top of your Bergan to use when you just need a bag to carry some stuff.
It is a perfect thing for foraging, setting out from a vehicle when you want to carry some gear or simply getting to the shops and realising you haven't got a bag (yes infuriating to keep buying more plastic bags!)
It is made of polyester rip-stop with a comfy, wide carrying strap. Can be collapsed into its own integral carry pocket.

The bags is great, so much so I've just purchased another. Could be cheaper though!!!
Great Bag
I've already reviewed this bag in black, I was so impressed that I bought this 2nd one in green. Nothing else to say really, it's just a great lightweight but strong bag.

These are very good fold up extra carry bags. Pack up small and take little room up in a travel bag.
Helikon back up bag
A very useful packaway shoulder bag. Ideal when outdoors if layering up and down or when you just want something to stuff in a pocket just in case, sits nicely over the shoulder on your back. Well made, very good zip. Great service from the Bushcraft store too.
