Helikon Raider Backpack
It is an advanced backpack for any use: from EDC to short hikes, also as a Bushcraft backpack. It features quick and easy accessibility of essential items which formed a focal point of the design work.
The main chamber has got a velcro panel to attach inserts compatible with Helikons Versatile Insert System®, an elastic band cuffed pocket and a zippered one. It has an organiser pocket for small items which is situated at the top of the backpack, and is accessible without the need to open the main chamber. On the front of the pack it has a soft-lined sunshades / electronics pocket, and velcro panels allow to attach additional Versatile Insert System® - compatible inserts.
Two open top side pockets carry windshirt or water bottle. The front is covered with a so-called Beaver tail panel, which holds a biking, climbing or tactical helmet. If the backpack is used simply as an EDC item, the flap can be simply rolled and secured, to avoid having to unbuckle it every time to take something out. The backpack is fitted with comfortable, profiled straps, rigid back panel as well as the hip belt.

Helikon Raider Backpack
Great Backpack a bigger version of the Helikon Groundhog Pack with couple of differences. It has a top exterior zip pocket with three deep divider sections roughly 14cm x 5cm x 2cm, there’s void in front of those with a cord ring to attach keys. Velcro loop makes up the back panel inside the main section which also has an elastic open pocket at the bottom. A mesh zip pocket is attached to the front inside at the top, roughly 20cm x 18cm. The front unzips either side 3/4 of the way down. On the front outside the pack there is also a smaller zipped velcro loop lined pocket roughly 15cm x 15cm. Two side elastic pockets which can accommodate a Nalgene Canteen. Above both pockets is 3 x 2 Molle.
The Beavertail section on the outside is attached by Woojin buckles at the top either side of the pack, good for a Rain Jacket or a Chicken!
The bottom of the pack has a zipped compartment storing a rain cover, you can fit bits in there and reach back whilst wearing the pack and access that too. The shoulder straps are comfortable with a chest strap and there’s a waist belt which can stow into pockets either side. Seems well made like other Helikon products I’ve bought.
The best!
Total quality. The design and detail of this rucksack is second to none!
