The Helikon Supertarp has always been a great product but it just got even better. This model has increased spark resistance making it much better around camp. I know, you could just use a canvas one right? Well a canvas tarp is MUCH heavier and more bulky so this ideal if your hiking on.
The Supertarp Small Spark Resistant is a lightweight tarp designed for building field shelters, providing protection from both rain and sun. With as many as 19 attachment points, it can be set up in multiple configurations, adapted to the terrain and individual needs. It is made from a lightweight, coated, waterproof fabric that is highly durable, resistant to damage, and offers increased resistance to sparks and brief contact with open flame. This reduces the risk of accidental damage when camping near a campfire.
However, it’s important to note that the material is not fully fireproof – prolonged exposure to fire may cause damage. The tarp can be easily transported in the included stuff sack, even when wet after a rainy night.
