Lansky quick Fix Sharpener is a great tool for sharpening your knives. It is especially good as it is so portable for use in the field. It has a durable plastic casing with comfort grip rubber insert.

There is a lot of stuff and nonsense talked about this type of sharpener but they work, and work well. The usual complaint is that it removes too much material and damages the blade of the knife but that simply isn't true if used correctly. The main problem people get into is that they simply press the knife too hard into the teeth. The best way to use is to literally only use the weight of your hand and the knife and draw the knife through gently, do not push down!

I have personally used this type of sharpener for years and years and never had an issue. They are not suitable for Scandi Ground blades but ideal for every other type of blade with a secondary bevel.
