Mk II TBS Lynx Camp Knife - Black Micarta - Standard Sheath
The Mark II Lynx has evolved into a full sized Bushcraft Knife, it is smaller than the Boar or Timberwolf but it's predecessor (the Mark I) was a small neck knife and not much bigger than our EDC Pocket knife. Whilst it was a great knife it wasn't everyone's cup of tea and we think the new variant just takes the Lynx to a new level.
We have striven to bring quality, well designed products to the World market and the Lynx is part of that continuing evolution. The Lynx is a classic Bushcraft Knife with all the brilliant features of a perfect companion tool.
It features a high quality, Hollow ground, 3.5mm Stainless Steel drop point blade that is razor sharp straight out of the box and makes camp tasks and general cutting effortless. I know that the modern fad is to have a Bushcraft knife with a blade that simply disappears into the handle with no guard, ricasso or choil, well, NOT here. In my opinion knives like this are far easier to cut your index finger when you choke up on the handle making them a danger to you.
The handle is wonderfully ergonomic, just like all of our other models. It features a natural sweep to the back with a god sized palm swell and this makes for a perfect fit to your hand and allows your wrist and shoulder to sit in a more natural position. Straight back handled knives make you unnaturally straighten your wrist and raise your shoulder when cutting vertically which means you fatigue quicker and are not as comfortable to use.
Of course, with a Micarta handle, it will need very little maintenance as Micarta is made using sheets of material (usually Cotton or Linen) which is layered and bonded with resin to make it super hard, extremely stable and highly water resistant.
The Mk II Lynx, of course, features our newest upgraded leatherwork which are a combination of high quality leather with innovative designs. Our modular sheaths have also been phenomenally popular as they offer something different from the norm that everyone churns out. They are all made from high quality Full Grain leather and feature a brilliant array of accessories and carry options so you can really tailor your knife to suit your needs.

High Grade Bohler N695 Stainless steel which has a high hardness and great wear resistance and is one of Bohlers premium stainless steels. We have decided to make a variant of our knives in this steel as, after quite some testing, we have found that it performs extremely well. It has a higher Carbon content that many other stainless steels which means it holds an edge longer and can be tempered to the same degree as Carbon Steels. This particular steel actually has a higher content than many High Carbon Tool Steels. This makes it perform with pretty much all the benefits of Carbon Steel with the added bonus of great corrosion resistance.
Typical Steel Analysis:
N695 Stainless Steel - Carbon 1.05%, Molybdenum 0.50%, Chromium 17.00%, Silicon 0.40%, Manganese 0.40%. (HRC 58)

Good knife
Excellent quality knife and sheath, good equal grind and throws sparks really well and the N695 is pretty good steel. Lovely comfortable wide handle for my large hands and a snug holding leather sheath. I paid £70 so it's a really good deal for what you get. I have 80+ knives of which 4 are TBS brand. The early Timberwolf in 01 the original Wolverine in N695 the newly purchased Lynx mk 2 in N695 and the new TBS BPS Pocomaxa in 1066. All superb knives for the money but the BPS pocomaxa is my favourite and it's only £50. You won't be disappointed with the lynx mk2
Decent simple fixed blade knife.
Decent simple fixed blade knife. Good steel, good blade profile. Bought from the Bargain Cabin (possibly slightly more expensive at full price than similar online items). Quick delivery. Very happy with the knife: good for all normal bushcraft tasks (including battoning, as I prefer the blade profile to Scandinwhich isn’t ideal for food prep).
