The Mora 106 is an excellent carving knife with great control as it has a nice fat handle, for great grip, and a razor sharp 59mm, 2.7 mm thick blade that is easy to maintain.
Mora’s woodcarving knives are well known and appreciated precision tools that are used by wood carvers in Nusnäs, for example. This is where one of Sweden’s most recognized national symbols – the Dala Horse – is carved.
Woodcarving 122 has a blade specifically designed for chip carving. The laminated steel gives it superior toughness and edge resiliency. The full tang, which runs the full length of the handle, gives it strength and stability. Together with the flexible blade you can work with precision and really get to all the details. The spindle-shaped handle made of oiled birch wood is slightly larger for a proper grip. The wood gives it a natural feeling and also gives you the possibility to form the handle to optimal shape.
They are handle with oiled birchwood which is chunky enough to fill your hand to give you ultimate control. They also come with a plastic sheath for ease of storage and carry.
There is now the option to add a handmade leather sheath to this knife. It is made for us by Six Magpies Leather

Great carving knife
Big fan of all Mora knives- i finally got my hands on this one and it is as expected: great.
Usual Mora quality and i love the design, makes it easier for carving- would highly recommend for all levels of skills.
It’s Mora, probably all you need to know….
Excellent blade, equally good for roughing out and detail carving work. Grip for me is the best, as you can turn tHe knife for paring cuts without the silly pointed bit that some other knives shape their handles with, also nice and chunky for those of us who are beginning to suffer with arthritis, just safer. The edge holds well, stropping every 30mins of use or so keeps it scary sharp, just what is needed.
