Mora Garberg Bushcraft Survival Knife - Carbon
The Mora Garberg Knife is the first "Full Tang" knife that Mora have produced and we are firmly behind the idea. Mora are one of the best producers of quality knives in the World and it was high time they produced a product like this.
They have certainly done a good job and the Garberg is a creditable alternative to plenty of other full tang knives on the market today.
The Mora Garberg knife is a powerful fulltang knife, designed to withstand the toughest challenges it may face. The blade is 3.2 mm thick and made of high quality Carbon steel specially treated in Mora's factory to make it even stronger. The blade has a proper Scandi Grind which makes the knife easier to keep sharp. Moreover, the blade back ground to be used with firestarter, so that the vital fire is always close at hand.
There is a choice of sheaths available with the Garberg and you can either choose from a full cover leather variant, the Mora Multi Mount system, a simple Polymer sheath or one of TBS's great leather sheaths. The exclusive leather sheath is a both beautiful and offers durable protection for the knife whilst the Multi Mount is a versatile mounting solution which makes it possible to attach the knife virtually anywhere you want and you can attach and detach the knife in just seconds.Obviously, it is also possible to take the knife right out of the knife sheath for even faster operation.
(When you order the Garberg with a TBS sheath it will also come with Mora's "Multi Mount" system so you will have multiple methods of carrying the knife. Also when you order a TBS sheath you will get all the relevant accessories for it giving you a complete package. ie. if you order a Garberg with a TBS DC4 & Firesteel sheath it will come with a DC4 and Firesteel)
Gorgeous knife, but does need looking after!
I absolutely love this knife, it lends itself to pretty much anything I need it to do. However it's not a knife that is impervious and can just take it all and be ignored - I've managed to notch it by trying to work a tough bit of oak for an axe handle. It needs sharpening more often and I oil it every use - but maybe that's why I love it so much?! I'd never be without my trusty Garberg now!
Outstanding
I Have both the carbon and the stainless version of this knife.
I also have other mora blades, but this is my favourite.
