I've had one of these for around a year now, and I've been very impressed with it. The construction is top notch, the sleeves are wide enough that they can be rolled up and the tail is long enough to keep your bum dry sitting on damp ground. The pockets are large and can be accessed whilst wearing a ruck and the front zip opens to the waist to aid ventilation and removal . It's not going to keep out heavy rain but it copes with showers well and is fast drying and windproof. It's a mid weight material, so a little warm on hot summer days but good on those cool mornings and shady camp spots.
After a year of mooching about through thorn and bramble it is showing no signs of wear. Are there cheaper smocks out there? certainly. But will they last as long....
