If you need to stitch, and probably more importantly, repair your gear then you need a Speedy Stitcher. Bushcraft and Outdoor kit can, by its nature, be heavy duty so having a way of repairing it is invaluable. I know you could proably just take it to a specialist but there is nothing more satisfying than repairing and maintaining your own gear.

This is the basic awl kit which includes the Speedy Stitcher® Sewing Awl, one straight and one curved needle as well as a built-in bobbin wound with 14-yards of waxed thread and product use instructions.

Useful and easy to sew with

This stitching awl is ideal for tough sewing, like canvas or leather.

Clear instructions and easy to use with a little practice.

Great product

Excellent product. I’ve used it to fixed a garden trampoline. It took no time to stitch the broken springs attachments to the trampoline base.

Easy to use for strong repairs

It’s simple to use, and the style of stitching it employs means that whatever you’re repairing or making is equally stitched at the back as on the front. I bought it to sew MOLLE strips on to an LK35, and for that the coarse thread that it comes with was too thick, being more suited to canvas (ideal for Lavvu though I’d think), so I filled the spool with Guttermann extra strong thread and it worked a treat. Very pleased with it!

A very useful little item!

I have horses, so often have to mend torn rugs - very hard work as mostly too heavy duty for my sewing machine! This little gadget is making the work easier, though of course I still have to force its sharp point through layers of material. And the result is much neater!
