Svord Peasant Knife - Black - Anodised Aluminium Handles
The Peasant Knife is based on models used in Bohemia and Bavaria 300-400 years ago. These knives feature Swedish high carbon tool steel blades. The blades are individually hardened and tempered using a unique heat treatment process and the blade is hand ground with a water cooled stone to produce a convex razor edge. Designed and produced by Bryan Baker.
They come in various sizes and handle variants and this one is the "Peasant" which has a non locking 78mm blade which is 1.8mm thick and a Black Anodised Aluminium handle. (other models available in store)

Used these for decades. Easy to sharpen to razor blade level. Flat contour, therefore easy to tuck away in you pockets and bags. Crazy cheap. The Froggies in France have their Opinel (also great knives), The Kiwi's their Svord peasant knife.
Besides Opinel and Svord have never wich comes close to their price-performance level.
Easy and cheap enough to leave behind as an appreciated no expensive overrated b********. Does it's work for light camp chores.
(one tip: never cut pepperoni pizza's with it, or you end with a difficult to remove patina ;) )
