TBS Fatwood Maya sticks are a real bonus for firelighting.
This is great way to help start a fire and these bundles of Fatwood are a perfect natural tinder that you can either carry as is or shave a single stick and carry some shavings.
Fatwood is harvested from the stumps of pine trees from sustainable growth timber and is very rich in pine resin. It can be so rich it can feel sticky to the touch. I am sure you will be amazed at how easily it lights and how hot it burns and is ideal as a fire tinder.

The best kindling, possibly
The resin in this wood enables it to catch well from a flame. I used a lifeboat match in damp and windy conditions to light one of these and had my fire going in no time. You don't need a whole one either, cut one down and save it in your possibles pouch/box. Really useful fire starter. Excellent service to from The Bushcraft Store.
