TBS Ferrocerium Fatboy Rod with Striker - New longer version

£9.95

The TBS Firesteel has been a phenomenal success and this is the 12.5mm version that is the same formula that is in our steels, just bigger. It will give you a large amount of magnesium rich sparks that are ideal for fire lighting in all weathers.

We find they are ideal for adding to any survival kit and you can simply wrap it with paracord to fashion a handle when needed or machine you own handle from pretty much any material you like. The rod has a pre drilled hole for attaching a lanyard and we have included a striker and lanyard with this model.

This steel is a great size as it is 1/2" (12.5mm) thick and now longer at 6" (150mm) long

An absolute BEAST

This thing throw serious amounts of molten metal, and I imagine it will last for years of heavy use, if not decades. It's a bit heavy, but that's just due to its length and girth, and just what I was looking for to cast maximum sparks. It fits perfectly in the Big Boy sized ferro holder on the leather sheaths, and that's where mine will be. 5/5

TBS Fat boy fire sticker, longer version

Excellent product gives a great spark and plenty of space to get a good grip for those poeple with big hands or sausage fingers.

Ferrocerium Rules Ok

Likes does what the sales pitch say’s it will do, I am a great fan of ferrocerium it will produce a spark shower even when wet. Removal of the black coating is vital, never let me down over the years.
