TBS Firelighting Kit with Jute and Pouch

The new TBS Fire Lighting kit is not only a really useful bit of kit it is superb value.

It consists of our Fatboy Firesteel Rod and Striker, a large piece of waxed infused Jute rope, a set of pocket bellows all packed in a cordura type carry case.

Our extremely popular 6" (150mm) Fatboy Rod throws a huge amount of sparks onto tinder and will have a fire lit in no time at all. The wax infused Jute is an ideal tinder as it can be dismantled thread by thread and ruffed up to make a highly flammable tinder bundle that will easily take a spark. Essentially the more, and finer, surface area you can make to take a spark the easier it will be to light.

The Pocket Bellows are an ideal addition to any fire lighting kit as you can direct a much larger supply of oxygen directly into where you have an ember to get a fire roaring in seconds. The kit is all packed in a small, but heavy duty, nylon bag that we have deliberately chosen in Hi-Viz Orange so it is easy to see in your rucksack or if you drop it on the forest floor.

The Firesteel rod is coated in a protective coating which needs to be scraped off to reveal the ferrocium underneath. The colour of this coating may vary from kit to kit.
