A Fallkniven DC3 Sharpening stone & a TBS Firesteel are some of the most useful pieces of kit you can carry in the field (other than a good knife) so combining them in one package was always a bit of a no brainer. This quality leather belt pouch does just that.
This attachment was originally designed for use on our own TBS Range of sheaths but we specifically requested that it have it's own additional belt loop so that it could be used as a stand alone product. It is available in Black or Brown and is available with or without the additional products. This product also fits on the front of a TBS Lynx sheath very nicely.
All of our range of knife or leather products are manufactured from high quality European materials by a top, well known, European manufacturer in small batches; they are NOT churned out in their thousands in a factory in the Far East. This allows us to have ultimate control over quality and materials and we are extremely happy with the results.
The Sharpening Stone
The newly-developed DC3 whetstone consists of a fine diamond stone (25 micron) and a very special ceramic stone, made of synthetic sapphires. The advantage of these materials, although they get worn, will still keep their flat shape this is important when you sharpen your knife. And, since these materials are the hardest we know of, they will sharpen any steel, even these extremely hard powder steels.
The Firesteel
The firesteel in this model is our own TBS ferrocium rod Army sized Firesteel (9.4mm thick) that gives a shower of sparks at over 3000c (5400f). It makes firelighting SO much easier and will give you thousands of strikes. It also comes with its own, very useful striker which has a useful roamer measuring scale and a bottle opener. The striker with this steel gives a MUCH better shower of white hot sparks than the back of your knife.
