TBS Lynx Compact Knife - Stag Antler - Leather Sheath

The latest variant of the Lynx Compact was crying out to be made in Stag Antler. TBS fans have been voting with their feet and buying our EDC's with Stag Antler handles so it was about time we started offering a fixed blade with Antler. The only issue is the finding enough that is big enough so we have started with our smallest fixed blade.

If you fancy something a little bigger perhaps we could make the Timberwolf with Stag Antler as well..... 

The Lynx Compact has been designed to be as maintenance free as possible so, in essence, as long as you sharpen it occasionally it will just last for ever. It is made from Sandvik's 14C28N which is 2.8mm at the spine. 

14C28N is known for its excellent edge retention, hardness, and corrosion resistance which is also relatively easy to sharpen and maintain. It is a great steel to use for everyday use knives and is made to very exacting standards.

It comes with a flat/sabre grind with a fine secondary bevel making it a proper all rounder. I have used this knife for all sorts of daily tasks including processing wood, cutting cord, processing game and, ultimately, then brought it home and used it as a kitchen knife. It is just a great cutter.  The blade also features a 90^o spine which  for great striking a TBS Firesteel.

The handles are all made with micarta, G10 or Antler. Why? Well to me they are all such durable and water resistant materials that lend themselves to this project extremely well. We have prototyped this knife with Olive Green G10, Green Canvas Micarta, Black Canvas Micarta and the slightly finer Black Cotton Micarta but is now being made in Black G10, Orange G10 and Stag Antler.

The handle also features a lanyard hole which I am always a fan of.

The sheath on this version is a simple leather product that is just a simpler option for all those that do not want a kydex model. 

All in all I love this knife and I am sure it will be a popular option for many.
