TBS Timberwolf EDC Folding Pocket Knife - Stag Antler
TBS Timberwolf EDC Folding Pocket Knife
How do you follow the Boar EDC...?
Well to be honest I didn't really know as the Boar EDC is still the most popular knife we make and it has gotten even more popular now we have increased the handle choices. The new Lynx Compact and the New Timberwolf were knives that I really wanted to make for quite some time but everyone still seemed to want Carbon Steel and Wooden handles for a "Traditional" Bushcraft Knife. Anyway I thought "put your money where your mouth is" and went for it, and I am extremely happy I did.
They are now my two go to knives whenever I venture into the wilds and it would seem that quite a few of you agree!
The Timberwolf EDC was just a natural model to introduce following the same theme as the New Timberwolf and Lynx Compact as it feature 14C28N Stainless Steel, highly weather resistant handles and a Sabre Grind which is great for a knife that is with you everywhere.
14C28N is known for its excellent edge retention, hardness, and corrosion resistance which is also relatively easy to sharpen and maintain. It is a great steel to use for everyday use knives and is made to very exacting standards.
I was only going to offer this knife in G10 as it is super durable and pretty much bomb proof but so many people like the Boar EDC in Stag Antler that I was persuaded to offer it in that variant too. You will be able to have it in Back G10, Green G10, Stag Antler and high viz Orange G10.
I have decided to offer the most popular belt pouches with the New Timberwolf EDC but with a slight twist, they will be black leather with red stitching as it matches the decorative red liners that 3 of the models feature. Of course, if you prefer a Brown pouch just let us know at the point of purchase and we will switch it for you.
The Firesteel variant of this knife will feature the new black pouch and come with our Nano Scout Firesteel which has a built in striker so now need to use the back of the knife.
After the feedback we got from many customers who didn't want a Scandi Grind pocket knife this was the natural route for us to take. I know the Badger also fills that void but we believe the Timberwolf is just another level when it comes to toughness and durability in an all round pocket knife. All in all I love this knife and I am sure it will be a popular option for many.
