The TBS Pocomaxa Bushcraft Knife
TBS have teamed up with BPS to make an entry level Bushcraft Knife which represents fantastic value for money and ticks all the boxes for a classic, traditional Bushcraft Knife. We really like BPS gear and we are very pleased to be supporting a traditional Ukrainian company so it was a natural move to have them make one of our designs and I hope you like it. It represents a great first step into a dedicated and more traditional piece of Bushcraft cutlery that isn't a Mora.
The Carbon blade is made of 1066 carbon steel, hardened to 57-59 HRC with a Scandi grind and, being Carbon steel, it is the more traditional steel for a Bushcraft Knife but does require a little more maintenance. After use you will need to clean and oil the blade to help avoid corrosion.
The Pocomaxa Bushcraft Knife is handled with Walnut which is a fantastic wood to use as it is so durable and simply needs re-oiling occasionally to keep it in tip top condition. It comes with a brilliant quality leather sheath that allows you to carry a very useful firesteel which is also included with this package.

BPS & TBS
Looks like a TBS Boar but built by BPS. The carbon blade is 1066 and the handle is walnut. The handle is large and very comfortable for me XL hands. The blade has a beautiful scandi grind and the height is beautifully balanced each side and the spine is so good at throwing sparks. Sheath is leather with a dangler and fire steel which has a lovely walnut handle to match the knife. At £50 you won't get better. I own 6 BPS knives and this is my favourite by far. Good knife and good service.
Great looking bit of kit
My first proper bushcraft knife and looks and feels quality. The sheath feels sturdy and will take a bit breaking in to fit to the knife but it will hold it securely. Very impressed and look forward to winter bushcraft sessions with the knife.
