UCO 9 Hour Candle Lantern Kit.
This is a great handy piece of kit, I've had one myself for years and it has done sterling service.
This is the classic, long-burning, collapsible Candle Lantern that has provided warm, natural light to millions of outdoor enthusiasts for decades. It is perfectly suited to backpacking, mountaineering, snow camping, and similar outdoor pursuits. Lightweight and compact, the Candle Lantern provides 9 hours of warm light from a single candle, surrounding it in the safest, most efficient lantern housing available anywhere.
The lightweight aluminum or brass frame holds the glass chimney securely in place, creating a windproof environment for the flame. And the unique, easy-slide chimney allows the glass to slide down into the lantern, making the candle easier than ever to light.
The spring-powered candle tube pushes the candle up as it burns, keeping the flame burning at a constant height. A viewing slot on the side of the lantern allows the user to monitor the slow burning candle for remaining burn time.
They measure 6 1/2" high when open and 4 1/4" when closed. The lantern collapses to a more compact size for transport.
The twist lock base allows easy access for replacing the candle. A real handy piece of kit for Bushcraft, Camping or simply a safe way to light your home in an emergency.
Works with the 9 hour candles and the "Kit" pack comes with a Candle Lantern (with candle of course) a side reflector to help optimise the light and a neoprene cocoon to protect the lantern in transit. Great product, great value and great company!
Great product small but tough works really well and gives of a good amount of light, the travel pack is worth the extra investment
Does what it’s supposed to do, simple item no complicated bits just light it and away you go instant light
Nice Lantern
Nice little lantern. I haven't had much chance to use it, but I've lit it a couple of times. It gives off nice light and the glass chimney makes the flame very stable. Not mentioned that I could see was that this kit comes with an extra candle for the lantern on top of the one already installed. Also, while the photo on the listing makes it look like it is made from anodised aluminium, the one I received is powder coated.
