Wechsel Exogen 1 Person Tent

I really don't think you can get more bank for your buck for a one person tent...It's Trail Weight is only just over a Kilo making one of the lightest quality tents on the market. If mobility is the key for you then this is the tent for you. Likewise the Exogen 2 and 3 are super light and durable.

Wechsel just make some great quality tents and the Venture series are great quality, free standing tents that are perfect for back packing and being on the move as they are lightweight without compromising quality. 

I know there are probably 20 other tents that "Look" the same out there and can be half the price but we don't do that at The Bushcraft Store. We have chosen Wechsel tents as they are just a step up in quality. This model, for example, will have high quality Aluminium poles not the cheaper resin fibre that breaks down with wear and UV and then snap when you're in the middle of nowhere. The materials used are just better quality all round so if you want a cheap disposable festival tent then best to shop elsewhere as this ain't it! 

One the easiest way to get your head around the Wechsel range, from my experience, is that the higher the price the lighter the materials used in construction. This, therefore makes the final product lighter to carry. Now, that doesn't mean they are less robust, they just use materials that are more expensive to make.  

The Exogen 1 is a freestanding hybrid tent for one person – including a vestibule. Two aluminium hubs at the poles ensure high wind stability. The inner tent of the Exogen 1 is set up first. The additional pole forms the vestibule, as soon as the fly sheet is stretched over it.

The freestanding design not only makes it easier to pitch the tent, but also offers flexible camping on different grounds. The inner tent is equipped with mosquito mesh in the door as well as at the foot and head ends. Thanks to the steeply rising walls, the full lying length of 215 cm can be optimally utilised. Two large mesh pockets keep things organised and offer space for otherwise odds and ends. The packing size is optimized for bikepacking. By removing the poles, the length of the pack sack can be reduced to just 25 cm – ideal for travelling with small bags. The tent and poles can be stowed separately.
